Facial Cupping

This technique lifts and sculpts the face while detoxifying to achieve incredible results. It can be enjoyed as an add-on to any facial treatment.

Cupping or vacuum therapy is an ancient practice with roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is used today as a practice to rejuvenate the skin. Unlike traditional cupping performed on the body, facial cupping does not bruise or leave marks on the skin. It is a gentle and relaxing practice.

During facial cupping, the skin is gently suctioned away from the rest of the face, neck, and décolletage using special tools to stimulate the flow of nutrients and oxygen-rich blood to the skin and muscles, as well as to stimulate Qi—our life force energy.

By using suction we can:

  • Lifts and tones the face by relieving muscle tension

  • Releases facial adhesions that stick to the skin and muscles

  • Detoxifies the skin by stimulating lymphatic drainage

  • Achieves a natural brow lift

  • Improves the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles

The suction action draws up & separates different layers of tissues into the cups. This vacuum mechanism causes flooding to the area with white blood cells, platelets & other healing aids, leading to a brighter, more sculpted appearance & increased collagen production.

Benefits:

  • Increase oxygen-rich blood circulation to skin tissues

  • Stimulate lymphatic flow

  • Release facial adhesions & promote the production of hyaluronan

  • Decreases puffiness

  • Tones chins, jawline, neck and decolletage

  • Brightens skin

  • Stimulates collagen production

  • Calms and triggers the parasympathetic nervous system

  • Reduces muscle tension

  • Maximises the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles

  • Detoxifies the skin through lymphatic drainage

  • Improves nutrient delivery & product absorption
